Business and Marketing English classes bring together many different professionals from all corners of the world. The course is industry-driven, tailored to align with the needs of businesses in the modern workplace by incorporating real-life case studies. This will be achieved by professional scenario training alongside theoretical learning. The objectives of the course are to give the student skills in English to communicate with professionals in the business and marketing sector, telephone calls, presentations meetings, emails, reports etc. This course can only run with a minimum of six students enrolling.
Course Objectives
Students will benefit from expert tuition delivered by experienced teachers, many of whom are former qualified, industry professionals themselves. Students will also benefit from regular assessment of course content to allow for opportunities to review the content covered. Our dedicated teachers will also give one-to-one tutorials in which students can discuss progress and learning techniques.
All lessons at all English levels are based on the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages). The objectives for each language level are as follows:
B1 can use written and spoken English to communicate the main points with confidence in business and marketing situations:
B2 students can understand the main ideas of difficult topics and can speak and write with a good amount of fluency in business and marketing situations:
C1 students can understand a wide range of demanding, longer texts, and can communicate with ease in the in business and marketing situations.

- Business-specific grammar
- Speaking, reading, writing, listening
- Pronunciation and phonology
- Business idiomatic language
- Learning tasks including presentations and role-plays

Entry Requirements
The Business and Marketing English course is open to students who have relevant work experience in marketing and/or come from an academic background of business or marketing. However, students with no formal qualifications or experience in the sector will be considered on a case-by-case basis. English language requirements: Students on this course will need to demonstrate a level of English equivalent to CEFR B1 or IELTS 4.0 or higher to enter.

Lessons run mornings and afternoons. Courses are either 15, 20 or 25 hours per week. Lessons are three, four or five hours per day in the morning or in the afternoon. Maximum class size for all lessons is 16 students. There is a registration fee of £60 and a coursebook fee of £40.
