Pastoral Care

We want you to enjoy your time with BSMI. We understand that being away from home can be a challenge. Some students will miss home and friends.  We are always available to offer advice and help while you are in the UK.

At BSMI, most of our students are over 18 but we also offer courses to students aged 16-18 and these students stay with homestay families.  These homestays are carefully chosen, and DBS checked to make sure that they are right for our younger students.  Also, students under 18 will be given extra help to make sure that they know how to get to the school and how to catch public transport. The homestays know that students must be home by 10pm at the latest.

If a student is visiting friends at any time, they must tell the homestay before they go.  Also, if students travel in the late evening, past their home time of 10pm, they must take a taxi back to their homestay. The Welfare Manager will explain more about travel and transport during the Induction Day at school.
