Here is what you need to bring with you to join our Undergraduate programme. 

  • School education
    • High School Diploma, or IB Diploma, or university entrance qualification or equivalent qualification* and transcript of records.
      *Equivalent qualifications from foreign schools and IB diplomas are recognized accordingly.
    • If you have not graduated yet, you may apply with your existing transcript of records (incl. grades and credits, if applicable) for a conditional acceptance.
    • Your final High School Diploma and Transcript of Records need to be submitted in original or certified copy upon starting your studies.
  • English language skills
    Since all of our study programs are offered in English, certification of your language skills is required (TOEFL, IELTS, Duolingo, or Cambridge).

Our innovative programme, (BA) in Aviation Management gives you everything you need in the dynamic world of airport and airline business and qualifies you for an international career. Our professors and lecturers attach great importance to the close integration of theory and practice. Most of them have themselves gained many years of specialist and management experience on an international level – and would like to share it. They do this for example through case studies, projects and field trips to renowned companies.

Programme Overview

The (BA) in Aviation Management has a duration of 36 months, 180 credits, and is structured in 6 semesters.

As part of your Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, you will learn about the specifics of the aviation industry with its global networks, management challenges, and mechanisms. In addition, we provide you with important business knowledge.

  • You deal with the financing of airlines and airports and discuss issues of aviation law.
  • You learn the principles according to which slots at the airport are allocated to airlines for take-off and landing.
  • You deal with marketing and sales in aviation.
  • You gain in-depth economic knowledge, including micro and macroeconomics, statistics, and accounting.
  • You work on additional skills such as business communication and computer applications.

In addition, during your 4. semester, you will get professional experience with an internship in the aviation sector, which will provide you with the perfect foundation for choosing your career. The internship is firmly integrated into your studies so of course, you don't lose any time.

As a graduate of the Aviation Management degree programme, you work for traditional airlines such as Lufthansa and Air France-KLM, for low-budget airlines such as Eurowings, as well as for handling companies, aircraft manufacturers and maintenance companies.

At BSMI, you have the opportunity to pursue two career goals at once:

  • Undertake the Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) in parallel with your (BA) in Aviation Management.

As a graduate in Aviation Management, you are in demand internationally. After graduation, for example, you can work as a Yield Manager or a Network Manager.
